Marketing & Events Specialist

Position Summary

The marketing and events specialist will manage the Company’s extensive event program. You will be primarily responsible for providing strategy, planning, and tactical support for events that promote our product, enhance our brand value, generate leads, and develop industry relationships. You will also provide general support to the marketing team as necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement off-site event logistics including budget management, contract negotiation, event ordering (AV, furniture rental, etc.), employee travel reservations, and shipping
  • Manage the logistics and execution of meetings and networking events held in the Vyond office
  • Manage ordering and inventory of event and promotional items
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and partners related to Vyond events
  • Support the community manager in the planning and execution of customer events
  • Facilitate team planning and informational meetings including the development of comprehensive event guides for the attending team
  • Assist in the development of pre- and post-show goal setting and messaging
  • Build and maintain the overall event budget and review all invoices for accuracy
  • Liaise on the Company’s digital presence, social promotion, and public relations to support events
  • Provide follow up reporting related to lead generation and ROI
  • Set-up and execution of off-site events (frequent travel)

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • 2-4 years of experience in supporting or managing an event program, preferably for a software company
  • Customer service mindset and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations and multiple deadline-driven projects and priorities
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google Suite
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation/email platforms preferred
  • Ability to work independently, off-site while at events
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field

Location

This is a full-time position based in our San Mateo office. We can only consider candidates eligible to work in the United States.
