How to upload videos to Moodle.

Method 1: Drag and Drop (if your browser supports it)

  1. Log into your Moodle course.
  2. Select Turn editing on at the top right of the page.
  3. Locate your video file on your computer.
  4. Click and drag the video file directly onto your Moodle course page.
  5. When you release the mouse, a box will appear.
  6. Choose whether you want the video:
    • Embedded in a label (visible on the page), or
    • Added as a clickable file resource.
  7. Click Upload to finish.

Method 2: Manual Upload

  1. Log into your Moodle course.
  2. Select Turn editing on at the top right of the page.
  3. Choose Add an activity or resource where you want to add the video.
  4. Select File from the list of options.
  5. Select Add.
  6. Give your file a name.
  7. In the Select files section, choose Add file.
  8. Navigate to Browse to find your video file on your computer.
  9. Select the file and choose Open.
  10. Select Upload this file.
  11. Scroll down and select Save and return to course.
